Tilleul (tillia europea)

This plant whose praise is no longer to be made, was very well known to the ancients, who boasted use to relax the nerves, calm heated hearts and suppress spasms. No need to describe this beautiful tree well known, whose flowers provide us infusion the most classic, still very popular in most families.

Verveine (lippia citriodora)

Only verbena has a rich history in legends. It was witches' grass or sacred grass, used by magicians. It was apparently enough to Rub the body with this grass to make someone love you. The fragrant verbena is used exclusively by the herbalist and is one of the most stomatal, digestive and antinevralgic powers.

Mint (mentha piperita)

Originally from England, mint was already known to Egyptians and Hebrews who appreciated it for the feeling of freshness it provides. Mint is as famous as linden or chamomile among the infusions of which it combines in the highest degree all the properties tonic, stimulating and antispasmodic. In contrast, let's destroy the legend of the past ensuring that high dose mint is an aphrodisiac and exciting.

Camomille (anthemis nobilis)

Who does not know chamomile, this great classic of the vegetable panoply of which each family, once, was pledged to relieve possible digestive disorders, stomach cramps, periodic fevers, neuralgia, asthma and general fatigue. Galen, the greatest Greek doctor, after Hippocrates, says that the sages of Egypt dedicated it to Sun God because of its effectiveness against fevers and heat gain.

Lemongrass

What about this perennial plant that has no origin or history. Resembling appearance to verbena, it gives off an extremely lemony odor which makes an evening infusion with a subtle and delicate perfume, ideal after a good meal.

Mauve (althae officinalis)

From its true origin, Marshmallow, Nicolas Lemery with Guy Crescent Fagon, first doctor of Louis XIV said that marshmallow "is emollient, humectant, softening, pectoral, aperitif, clean for the sick of the kidneys and especially for the cough as well as for the punks who go down on the chest, and the ardours of urine. " It is recommended imperatively for the affections of bronchi, colds, flu, coughs of irritation.

Anis vert (pompinella anisum)

The seeds of this aromatic umbelliferous are among the "Hot seeds" of the pharmacy of the time spent. Its origin is poorly known and in ancient times the green anise came mainly from Egypt, Crete, Ethiopia and Spain. At present, it is grown throughout Europe and in Russia, France is found in the regions of Albi, Anjou, and Touraine. Pliny, the naturalist, says that green anise is among the few plants rented by Pythagoras. It makes the breath soft, the face young and removes the bad smell of the mouth. Anise has always been used to treat stomach ailments.

Rose (rosa gallica)

Native of Orient and introduced in France at the time of the Crusades, the rose rose perfectly acclimatized on our soil. Herbalism only uses the Damascus rose, which later became the rose from Provins. The petals of the rose are harvested only shortly before blooming. they must be quickly dried in the sun or in a well-ventilated attic. Dioscoriden, Dalian, and Teophraste already recognize the tonic and refreshing properties of the rose. Pulmonary fortifier, so it is beneficial for sore throats, inflammations of the mouth.

Sauge (salva officinalis)

Like savory, thyme and marjoram, sage grows spontaneously in the south of France. but it is also grown in gardens. In Egypt, at the time of Ramses, this plant was already reputed for its many virtues, and the Greeks offered them to the Gods, in order to dispose of them favorably with regard to solicitations. The infusion of sage is remarkable in all cases of nervousness, persistent fatigue, sweating, or against the depressive state.

Thym (thymus vulgaris)

Thyme is a perennial that is grown in its garden for its culinary use. Beyond this use, thyme is widely provided with many therapeutic properties. He passes to "excite" the intelligence, to revive the sexual appetite. Gives freshness of mind, a feeling of lightness of the stomach, an absence of morning cough. Virgil (70-19 BC) already devoted to him a passage in his "Georgics" to praise his tonic and euphoric effects.

Lavender (lavandula officinalis)

The etymology of its French name comes from the Latin "lavare" which means to wash. From there also, the name of washerwoman, for the women who washed the linen and put there lavender to perfume it. Nowadays, it is customary to use lavender in the form of of eau de toilette to perfume, only as an infusion. In addition to its sweet and fresh smell, the lavender has the advantage of being a very remarkable tonic of the nervous system, it soothes the nerves and it is recommended in nervous affections, spasms, agitation and nervousness.
